FortiToken Mobile tokens will not be transferable anymore

Fortinet changed the license/usage terms for FortiToken Mobile (FTM) and FTMs bought starting 4th of August 2025 will NOT be transferable anymore except for RMA cases. This affects both - Fortigate and FortiAuthenticator registered FTMs. This means if you want to move FTM tokens bought after that day to another Fortigate/FAC you’ll have to buy a new license again, so "perpetual" license is not that perpetual anymore. Fortinet say it is for security reasons, some clients will say "money grab", anyway - not cool Fortinet, not cool. This does NOT affect hardware tokens, all references are below. As alternative they proffer FortiToken Cloud with a "little" difference being it is a subscription-based service, not a one-time payment as FTMs today.

FTMs bought BEFORE August the 4th 2025 will still be transferable in the future. One more note - we are talking about the license transfer, not FTM mobile app transfer between mobile phones. The mobile app transfer will be working as before.
